Backing away from the daily sketching of 2015, to observe more slowly and acutely.
Another well-composed scene. You have a knack.

Very kind of you. Still, the human face and figure seems so difficult to capture well.
Yes they are.
I agree with Kerfe, and nice perspective also on the people in this one, Kirk!
Your perspective is really improving! Do you notice it too?
This time i actually was more pleased with the way the people were situated. I particularly like the woman in the foreground in the red (ish) dress.
Yeah. You really get that feeling of depth and distance. I admire this!!
Laura, Thanks. Your comments have helped me appreciate it more.
I’m glad! Boy I need to figure out perspective. Just trying to draw a pear on too of a book lying flat on a table is a major effort (looking mostly from the side vs straight down).
I hope you keep going, even after your year is up. Wouldn’t you miss it if you stopped now?
It’s interesting.I actually draw quite a bit now in my copywriting work.sometimes it is the quickest way to an idea.
Love this Kirk! You have such a wonderful style. These figures are fantastic!
Really? I don’t see it. My figures still look like a third grader drew them–but perhaps that is my destiny.
Well then that’s a super talented third grader. Lol… I love the life, energy and character in these. You’re getting a very signature look. 😉
Charlie–Thanks. I appreciate that.
